On site postgraduate course: The Science of Conservation, Managing Biodiversity in a Changing World

This course is aimed at postgraduate students and other scientists and is to be held from the 2nd to 12th March 2016 at the Lajuma Research Centre in Limpopo Province, South Africa. It is a collaborative venture between the Graduate School for Production Ecology & Resource Conservation, the Wageningen University School of Social Sciences and the Research School for Socio-Economic and Natural Sciences of the Environment in the Netherlands and the University of Venda in South Africa

The course addresses the complexity of human-wildlife interactions from an ecological as well as socio-economic perspective, focusing on the issue of biodiversity decline as natural vegetation and wildlife are challenged to adapt to changes in human land use and climate.
